How We Started Making Cabin Kits—and How They Evolved
From a simple glamping concept to cabins shaped by real projects, changing needs and years of assembly experience.
Long before we began developing cabin kits, we had already spent many years working in timber construction. Building wooden structures gave us practical experience with materials, site conditions, assembly and the needs of the people using them.
Our move into cabin kits grew from that background. We wanted to explore how a small timber cabin could be prepared in advance and assembled more simply on site. Each project then gave us a reason to refine the models, their layouts and the way they were prepared for assembly.

A Small Cabin with a Simple Aim
We began developing a small, simple cabin with broad appeal, intended to offer glamping operators an alternative accommodation option. Our goal was a structure that could be assembled on a timber platform in two to three days using basic tools and equipment. The early concept was deliberately minimal, with insulation available as an option.
To demonstrate assembly, we photographed the build with a DSLR camera, capturing around 6,000 frames and combining them into a time-lapse film. It marked the beginning of our YouTube journey and introduced the first Stella prototype to a wider audience.

More Than One Cabin Shape
The first MasifEv model family included Stella, Orion, Diamond and Aries Mini. Each explored a different form of compact timber accommodation. Orion 50 was sold in 2019; Orion 64 followed in 2020, alongside a smaller experiment. Demand for Orion remained more limited.
We built the first 20 m² Diamond example in our garden in 2020. The 25 m² version went on to serve individual customers and tourism facilities, with further applications through 2022. Larger Diamond Elite models followed. Aries Mini attracted more individual users, and we also developed models under the Aries 72 and Aries 78 names in 2020.

Stella 82: A Request for Winter Tourism
A winter tourism project called for a much larger cabin. We developed Stella 82 and built ten units at Yıldızdağı in Sivas in 2020. The brief moved the Stella family toward a more spacious alternative to a luxury hotel suite.
The larger cabin was a response to a specific hospitality need, building on the insulated approach already introduced with Stella 38.

A Larger Stella for Homes and Holiday Rentals
Alongside resort cabins, customers were asking for larger homes, particularly for holiday rental use. Stella Magna grew from that need, extending the Stella family beyond the compact guest-cabin format.

Two Different Hospitality Briefs
A second phase in Sivas
The Sivas project continued with a second phase of fifteen cabins. These included enlarged versions of Stella 82 and two three-bedroom Stella cabins, further developing the family for larger accommodation needs.
Stella 70: a more compact suite
A request from Kalkan/Saklıkent in Antalya led to a more compact alternative to Stella 82, while retaining the feel of a hotel suite. Sixteen Stella 70 cabins were built for that project in 2021. Although the request came from a summer tourism destination, the cabins retained the insulated approach developed for winter use.
Development over time
The Smaller Stella Models Kept Evolving
The compact range continued to develop alongside the larger hospitality models. Stella 38 evolved through Stella 42 and Stella 47 before reaching Stella 53. These were successive revisions, rather than a single change made at one date.

Stella Sol offered another approach: a smaller, 24 m² alternative to a hotel room.

Different Models, Shared Assembly Experience
More Aries installations broadened our experience beyond the Stella family. The Aries 72 project in İncek and Aries 92 applications formed part of this period of development.
A tourism facility combined Stella Nord and Diamond Elite. Meanwhile, the Fesleğen and Kocaeli Stella 70 applications introduced additional height. That revision was subsequently incorporated into the standard Stella 70 model.
These changes came from requests and built projects: more usable space, different layouts and details revised through assembly experience.

Diamond Elite: a larger branch of the Diamond family. Libra 72 in İncek
The 2022 Libra 72 application in İncek brought another cabin form into the story. Its construction and completed interiors show the timber structure, tall glazing and loft arrangement.

Stella 53 and the Move into U.S. Projects
In 2023, we assembled the Stella 53 test unit at our premises. Toward the end of the year, Stella 53 kits were exported to the United States, taking the compact model family into a new phase.
The same year also brought a Bolu tourism development combining Stella 70 and Stella 82. It was a later project, separate from the first ten-unit Stella 38 development in 2019.

Kits in New Hands and New Settings
In 2024, Stella 70 cabins were built in West Virginia and an Aries 96 project took shape in Arkansas. These applications brought the kit systems into different sites and assembly arrangements.
The Island Park development in Idaho combined three Stella 53 cabins with three Aries 116 cabins. Further Stella 53 and Aries applications followed in Montana in 2025.

Real Builds Continue to Shape the Kits
Our models were not designed once and left unchanged. From the first simple prototype to larger rental cabins and overseas projects, customer needs and assembly experience have continued to shape the range.
Archive photographs show the versions built at each stage. For a new project, the current model specifications and confirmed quotation define the kit supplied.
